The Rodos Cup sailing race is organized by the Offshore Sailing Club of Rhodes (ASIATHR). The first “Rodos Cup” took place in 1997, under the name “International Sailing Week”.

The races take place in the Aegean Sea, covering some of the most paradisiacal islands of the Dodecanese. The “Rodos Cup” is one of the largest sailing races in Greece. In the last year, 52 boats from 14 different countries participated, highlighting the international character and importance of the event.

Significant moments in the history of the race include the impressive participation of historic boats, the creation of friendly bonds between crews from different countries, and the challenging routes under difficult weather conditions that tested the sailors’ abilities. Furthermore, each year, local communities welcome the competitors with warm hospitality, showcasing their culture and traditions.

The event contributes to both the promotion of sailing and the highlighting of the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the South Aegean islands.
