The heart of sailing will beat again in the South Aegean in July 2025, with the 28th Rodos Cup<\/strong>, one of the most important international offshore races in the Eastern Mediterranean. The event, held under the auspices of the ASIATH Rhodes<\/strong> and the South Aegean Region<\/strong>, combines competition with the cultural and natural beauty of the Dodecanese. <\/p>\n

Sunday, July 6 \u2013 Kos (Registration & Opening Ceremony)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The race starts at the Kos Marina<\/strong>, one of the most modern ports in the Aegean. Kos, birthplace of Hippocrates, offers a unique combination of archaeological wealth, cosmopolitan life, and organized facilities for sailors. The opening ceremony brings together crews from around the world and sets the tone for a welcoming and energetic event. <\/p>\n

Monday, July 7 \u2013 Kos \u2192 Kalymnos (1st Race)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The first race ends in Kalymnos<\/strong>, the island of sponge divers. With its picturesque Chora, traditional shipyards, and the characteristic fjord of Pothia port, Kalymnos offers authentic scenes and a warm welcome to sailors. The locals are known for their hospitality, while the island is also one of the top climbing destinations worldwide. <\/p>\n

Tuesday, July 8 \u2013 Kalymnos \u2192 Nisyros (2nd Race)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The second route leads the boats to Nisyros<\/strong>, one of the most unique volcanic islands in Greece. With its impressive crater at the center of the island and the tranquility of its settlements, such as Mandraki and Nikia, Nisyros offers an alternative, earthy experience to its visitors. Wednesday, July 9 \u2013 Rest Day in Nisyros<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The fourth day of the Rodos Cup offers participants the opportunity to get to know Nisyros better and rest. Many choose to visit the volcano crater, wander through the cobblestone streets of the settlements, or try local delicacies in traditional tavernas. <\/p>\n

Thursday, July 10 \u2013 Nisyros \u2192 Chalki (3rd Race)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The sailing course continues towards Chalki<\/strong>, a small island with a distinctive character and peaceful atmosphere. Its port, Emporeios, is one of the most picturesque in the Aegean, while the island has been designated as the “island of peace”. Chalki enchants with its neoclassical houses, tranquil shores, and genuine island culture. <\/p>\n

Friday, July 11 \u2013 Chalki \u2192 Rhodes (4th Race & Closing Ceremony)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The final race concludes in Rhodes<\/strong>, the largest island of the Dodecanese and the administrative center of the region. Rhodes combines the historical grandeur of the Medieval City with modern tourist infrastructure. The closing ceremony takes place at the Rhodes Marina<\/strong>, with awards, music, and a festive atmosphere, perfectly ending a week of intense emotions. <\/p>\n
